Dinner all prepped so just waiting for my girls to come back from their Dad to open prezzies. Nice not having to do a dinner for loads of people like I used to do. Enjoy your dinner Matty - hope you are feeling fine
Get the traps out rosemummy - it's the only way. Not much eating in a mouse, although they don't take too much stuffing either...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Have had a lovely day and got some fab pressies, a potting bench and a cold frame Just got to build them Oh and some Panda themed items, a scarf, a hoody and some beautiful earrings
I have been a lucky Panda this year
I hope you have all been lucky this year and have had a good day
We had a lovely time at Mum's just five of us and not quite the riotous days of old but we are now all 27 Home at 7pm leaving Mum's all tidy you couldn't tell we'd been.
Today is the fun day, glad rags on and a route march to the pub to meet up with friends at lunchtime
Rosemummy how about curried mouse
Lily I did the cooking but yah, no dish washing for me
Topbird happy for you that OH didn't get called out.
Drool time at some point over the hols as my friend got me the box set of Alias Smith & Jones yippee.
Have a good day and those who need a rest feet up and scoff nice things
We went to Midnight Mass, Chrismas Eve, that was brought forward to 7.30 this year as most of congregation are geting on a bit now!!
We had a nice day yesterday, mum got very tired she tried to sit at the table but couldnt so i gave her a tray in her own arm chair. We all opened our presents in the afternoon together, but by then she was so tired I had to practically carry her bed. She got up a bit later but stayed in her own room, she did have a bit of tea though.
The boys enjoyed thier presents, saved some for today.
Happy boxing day to you all
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Lovely day yesterday. Who knew you could laugh so hard playing Ludo. Song of the day seemed to be Frozen - lots of belting out "let it go!!" whilst making dramatic hand gestures (even caught Mr Chicky humming it in the kitchen, although minus the actions). And that was all before any wine came out. Fun times lol.
house is still sleeping today - but will stir soon, as today is BIG family get together day - and its my family, so will be fun. Best go find somethng sparkly to wear
So pleased to hear others having good times too - lovely that Mr Topbird was spared and you had a great day together, and that Lyns Mum could participate for some of the day.
as for meecy mices Rosemummy - our house is old and in the country, so used to have a real problem here til we got something that plugs in a socket and sends a noise round the ring main of the house that drives them away - never had a problem since.
SGL & KEF - Thanks - we've got our fingers crossed for today as well!
Lyn - sounds as though you were working as hard yesterday as you do the rest of the year. But I'm glad you had a nice day - lovely to have the family with you - maybe you'll be able to put your feet up for a couple of hours today?
Looks like it's going to be a lovely (if rather chilly) day here - white over with frost but nice and still. Wonder if we'll get some snow later on as per the weather warnings? - always very pretty here in the depths of the country when we get some.
Enjoy your day folks - whether it's family, friends, down the pub or feet up with a good book & a mug of coffee in front of the fire - enjoy
PS Hope nobody's mad enough to be contemplating the Sales!!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Chicky - you snuck in there! - Happy Boxing Day to you too.
Re the mouse deterrent - we rented a house which had one of those fitted. Somebody accidentally switched it off & the mice came in - switched it back on & they disappeared - I think they work and a nice, easy, humane solution if RM hasn't got too much of problem
