The weather bomb sounded like one with lightening and thunder. We have had high winds but nothing like the west coast has had. Plenty of hail and the odd snow shower is all so far
Lucky to be able to get out there Gemma
Have you got a t-shirt on Verdun? Hope your delivery arrives soon
I felt lucky Lesley Got a lovely warm feeling looking over the garden today, not too many things left to do this year and plenty to look forward to next year.
My toes don't feel so warm though, they started to get a bit chilly towards the end, time for coffee, lots of chocolate biscuits and a warm up.
Got better had sun until around half three then it got dark and the wind got up.
A weather bomb RB is your worst night mare, the Thunder and Lightning polka with six fire brigades hosing you down at full blast. Think drowning in a bath of custard and unable to swim to the spotted dick in the middle.
Been very windy here with rain or heavy rain all day I've just closed the curtains so I don't see it.
Glad you got outside Gemma
Did the SM shop and delivery to mum, got rotten soaked so had to eat a packet of crisps to cheer myself up great restraint shown as it was a multipack of six.
Hope workers get home okay and our friends up to NW and Scotland are okay, well actually hope everyone is ok, my geography isn't the best.
KEF that was great restraint to just have one packet. I would have had the crisps between two slices of bread and butter. Um maybe that's why I didn't blow away
Hope Fairy's OK and LilyP. Think Hogweed's here too.
Rb the weatherman make up words to make the forecasts more interesting and have been describing the weather front as a weather bomb because of how it gained so much power before it hit. I've never heard it before. Love Frank's description but I bet I could have swum there
I looked after baby grandson today, 7 months, very smiley. Then bought Christmas tree at the GC and went to the supermarket. OH has gone to choir, I'm off to sitting room in front of woodburner, no computer signal there.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Bright here with blue skies and a 'brisk gusty wind' - so far .......
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'm making the most of the sun here in Essex today, breezy but pleasant enough outside to get a couple of jobs done.
