Ooh, thank you lily, Lizzie, Matty and Winter. I have spent ages looking them all up and reading the blurb. They are all lovely and I bet they really shine out at dusk.
Hope you don't end up at Halfords tomorrow Clari.
Fritillary I'm feeling sorry for you with your sore hand. Could you try using the pan scrubber left handed for part of the time. You may get good at it
Absolutely shattered, glorious day. Just got in from the garden. Have been busy tying in clematis and sweet peas. Also potted up nearly all the seedlings only have a few left now. Have moved them all into the greenhouse which meant that the conservatory and kitchen needed cleaning. Finished off by mowing the grass and cutting the edges. Will need to water this evening
How about calling it The Dip or The Hollow Liri, I had thought of something better but have forgotten it again.
Have a couple of plants that need identifying (probably weeds) must remember to take photos of them tomorrow.
I am a little grumpy. Two of my sticky labelled plants are tender so I thought I would make my cold frame to put them in. One of the props for the "windows" didn't go the right way so I had to shave some of it off to fix the issue. Then I have to "guess" where to put them on the windows as it wasn't marked. I thought I had double checked that I had them in the right place and attached them with the screws. Went to attach the windows with the hinges to discover I am going to have to take them off and reattach It is my fault, but want to blame the company for not giving details of where exactly to put them
Sounds like we have all been busy doing something or other today.
BM wish we had more choices of GC here, there are some nice little nurseries, one in particular is super but he only opens 1 day every 3 months, other than that you have to catch him on the market every 2nd or 4th Friday and I always manage to miss it, finishes at noon too. OH is unsurprisingly happy with that arrangement. All the B&Q type ones are further away and also ridiculously expensive compared to UK.
Panda I feel for you, I am hopeless at DIY and although I do try because I won't be beaten it always takes 2 (or more) attempts to get it right. You should have seen me putting up my archway.
Anyway, am feeling especially happy today because at last I have found a man who can bring me (for free) builders rubble for my soon to be rockery. He is coming Friday, I have already put down all the weed suppressant stuff, was out until dark doing it, and have the soil coming on Monday. Rocks are all lined up by the side of it, can't wait. Have got to beg borrow and steal plants though as OH says there is no budget left now. Sure I can squeeze a few past him though.
Was going to take a 'before' pic but it was too dark, will do it in the morning. Just hoping that the previous owners arrive before the tipper truck squashes my tulips and messes up the grass.

I'm in the final stages of drawing up my garden plan : its not good to think I spent less time designing parts of Heathrow terminal roofs than is going into this garden!
The chicken people are getting back to me soon regarding whether my suggested layout is large enough as his lordship uttered those fatal words "what would you like for your birthday" so I quickly got in with a hen run before he could suggest a winch or rescue kit for the truck or other handy toy (We won't point out that I brought the coop last birthday!)
Trouble is I'm having a tulip crisis! I have worked out how to move the strawberry bed, I am happy with my daffodil and snow drop corners, muscari is being pushed toward the right direction everywhere it pops up, my herbs are organised and my lavender path in progress... my tulips? Homeless! I am going to have to invest in considerably more pots at this rate.

Would I ever leave you?? xx
I have to be steered past toy shop and baby clothes shops now - could spend all my money on them rather than the garden
Did see some lovely baby clothes in M&S yesterday but stopped myself, will wait nearer the time in case it needs to be returned
