Think Black Friday is an American thing that has caught on in UK, retailers marketing ploy really. I am trying to just look at new cookers for future reference while OH in good mood and can't get on any sites, very frustrating - given up.

DD, have you looked on French sites, such as Darty? What sort of cooker? I would love a new range, like Falcon, but they are so expensive. I have a French make of range which was on a special offer, hate it. No proper grill. Oven too small.

Only went to SM this morning and not bad as it's not a superstore - avoid them at all costs
