Lovely day, sat in garden, went for a walk - only round houses, but but do enjoy looking at the daft things people do to their front gardens - fortunately not many just 'car parks'

Made another bamboo weaving support, this time for sweet peas. Love this time when veg beds are all about to start their hard work and looking ready for action.

Planted on some of sunflowers - a couple of varieties have had less than 50 % germination, one was old seed so expected, but the other wasn't.

Mmmm summer house and chilled wine sounds a great idea, shame you live so far away

Still yuk - not really the garden - black dog a bit at present I think, he comes sometimes but not very often- he also goes quite quickly

Potted up about 300 plants today, to add to the ones already potted in the GH. Was very hot although both windows and the door were open.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    evening allimage

Matty - I have kept my New years resolution of going for a 30 minute "march" in my lunch hour every day, and the best bit is stalking people's front gardens on my route.  Its been fascinating watching spring springing day by day.  Some glorious magnolias at the moment......and the ceonothus won't be much longer.

working in a different office at the moment - my normal base has GC's that I can include in my "marches" (gets a bit expensive if I'm in there every day - sticky label syndrome there too).  But new office only has a Homebase ....went in today, and all looked half dead....v disappointing.  Might save my bank balance thoughimage

    Off to check my seedlingsimage

    Hi Ed,

I got an email from Virgin Media to say they are transferring non cable customers to Talk Talk.  Not happy about this as it means changing email address. Probably be cheaper though.

Couldn't get on here earlier, not sure what's wrong. There wasn't a box to write in and can't get to my settings. image Won't let me go back a page or get on latest posts.

Did loads Iin the garden this afternoon, more weeding, trimmed buddlias, trimmed hedge and had a tidy in the shed.

Such a lovely sunny day, hope this is the beginning of a lovely summer.

    Evening all!

Sticky label syndrome...  I feel a GC visit coming on, to test whether this is a local or a nationwide phenomenon.  image

A happy visit to Mum this afternoon; she seems in good spirits, though since her fall she's been reluctant to try to walk.  The staff suspect she's strained stomach muscles, which would explain the continued pain.  Anyway, I was able to make her laugh, so left her happier than when I arrived.  image

I've read back over your busy Easter gardening exploits; what a lot of happy (if stiff!) people you are...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
