Dug up my begonias this afternoon, threw away the Dragon's Wing one, there were brilliant all summer and stored the tuber ones. Planted the pots with violas. Planted up two pots, which had had basil and parsley in them, with early and late double tulips. Planted the DA "Summer Song" rose that I bought in the UK.

My cold seems to be getting worse. Going to bed.

perfect thanksgiving here-21c-with a little breeze. people start arriving in about an hour, dinner looks great, so time for a wash. made pumpkin pies from fresh pumpkin for the first time. seem too sweet and texture a little strange-can we ever have too much fiber? sweet baboo says they are delish and whipped cream can hide all flaws.

Lovely and warm here too yesterday when mist lifted, reached 17° yesterday, supposed to be similar today. Not been cold at night either.

Sounds like a good day Dove, I am off to meet our new neighbours this afternoon, they have just started a deer farm, apparently they have 95 of them. They are Dutch so I am hoping they speak English, usually the Dutch seem to be great at languages.

Chicky have a lovely time. image

Edd just loving your jokes. image

Puncdoc you sound very wise. image

Very excited about my roses too Lilly, I have been weeding all around them even though there isn't much there, they are getting a lot of TLC already.

BL Busy as ever, hope the cold starts to get better today.

Have fun in the jewellers FB.image

Hope you all have a good day, and of course it is Friday so that's a good start! image

  • I've just remembered a dream - I created a prairie type bed of grasses and Verbena bon. etc  in the middle of the back garden - is this a possibiity or would it be a disaster?  image  Maybe I should ask Cleve image
