    Morning all

Sunny but a thick mist over fields and end of our garden. Usually means a nice day.

Yes I suppose you're right Lesley. But I have a feeling he will mention it again at some point. image  Wouldn't mind so much if he was complaining about something i'd planted, lol. That oak has been there many years!

    Hugs Dove.

Glad you had a good day Kef and Pdoc.

    Have a good day everyone.

Good luck Clari, we struggled up some of the tracks and hills in Cornwall in a 4x4! On saying that i imagine you are a much better driver than my OHimage the 4x4s engine blew up on the way home! Hope you find a GC image

Good morning a wee while since I posted due to very happy Easter visit from son and d I l who is blooming!

Dove I hope you have a loverly day in the garden. My mum passed at this time  and I planted forget-me-not. They look super this year and bring warm memories.

This wonderful spell of weather is just what we all need but sooo much to be done!

    Morning all,

Had a chill day yesterday and was so exhausted I only just got up image

    That's late for me image

Feels like this week has sped past but I did find out that my bakery takings were up over the Easter holidays by a massive 40%, no wonder with visitors on the back end of that I've been sleeping

Don't know what today will bring, have reason to celebrate since OH won some new contracts, and I haven't done my easter plant shopping yet, what time of year do iris pop up in GCs? I never see any because they are so popular I think they go in a whiz

Even so, am still so tired so might just prick out my seedlings

    Morning all.

Over 300 plug plants have just arrived in the post!image But the GH is already nearly full as my seeds have done so well. I'll have to have a huge shuffle and some will go into coldframes.

It's sounds as though it will be a lovely (if such a thing can be) funeral, Dove.

Hard to park in Cornwell without paying, I remember. I had to collect small change to make sure we had enough. I like the French car parks where you get a ticket and can choose to pay with a bank card on the way out, only paying for the time you've been there. I hate "pay and display". Even worse are those English car parks where you have to type in your number plate. They don't recognise French number plates so in some of them we couldn't get a ticket.

I had to water my pots around the house last night, they'd got very dry, 20° yesterday.

Good morning another lovely day image

I had to go out early this morning, hair appointment at noon, so laundry on the go and gardening later today.

Glad you are feeling better Lily.

  • Morning all! Time to get out the house. Need to get the kiddo dressed first, then find something to entertain him.

    Hello everybody!  image

Just rushed in from the garden to grab the sheets to put on the line, and make a coffee, which gave an opportunity to pop in here.  No time yet to catch up on what you've all been up to while I've been away - maybe tonight!  The only problem with spending 4 lovely days helping my son and DIL in their garden, is the amount I'm itching to do in my own patch.  They were very grateful though, and inspired to carry on now I've given them some ideas, so it was worth it!

Parker's got their delivery spot on - the parcel arrived this morning, so I've got a couple of dozen plugs and bare rooted perennials to pot up.  Don't think many of them are big enough to plant straight out, without a few months in the growhouse, but they look good.  image

    Right.  Back out...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Text received from daughter (taking a few day's leave at home)

"Really got the gardening bug, couldn't sleep last night cos I wanted to get out there and carry on ... think I need floodlights!"
