Dove, good points, id nit considered the children in need aspect. Lesley and dove, a lot of what came out at the meetings was the same fights, concerns and problems as 20+ yearsago. One case was a wheelchair funded for school but not allowed at home or in the community. ,,,,,,,
Something I've come across so many times - totally insane and all about money rather than need

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hmmm, not been in the garden for ages! Not keen on autumn in the garden ( that's got a ring to it), I feel im just delaying cutting and stripping everything back. Important jobs seem to have been missed - seed collecting, grass cutting, GH preparing, amelanchier still needs planting. All in all, I find autumn a bit overwhelming - how will there possibly be room for any growth or new stuff next year? Oh and when will I get time to get out there?
Good morning all, it's mild here but too dark to see thermometer.
Lizzie that was a sad story, you did the kindest thing.
Lesley hope you are up to strength today.
Chicky, thanks OH still suffering but not as bad as yesterday. I've had to be matter of fact with him to determine the precise nature of the complaint pain? ache? discomfort ? Reports it as 4 / 10 Good nurse, me thinks not!
Hope the last day at the mines goes okay for workers.
Good morning to all, it's grey here but not as damp as weather people are showing, so digging will continue.
Mrs.G I have always left my big tidy up until Spring, to benefit the wildlife etc. and frankly lethargy on my part too if I am honest. However I am doing it now, this year, as part of my renovation master plan. A tired bed renovation process for me is to save (pot up) anything worth keeping in the herbaceous line, splitting up as I go. Shrubs are left as I clear out the rubbish, including self sown seedlings, bramble, dead and struggling plants etc. Shrubs then get renovation pruning and the ground dug over. I then plant the bed afresh, sometimes to a new colour scheme or design, using a mix of my saved plants and some newly bought ones. (I still have loads to give away.)
While the spur to this is next year's village open gardens event, it much needed doing anyway. And I feel more motivated and creative too. Not just maintenance but design and creativity get a look in too.. When it is all done it will be much easier to keep on top of it, hopefully.
quick hello to all, been v busy stopping 11 month old captain cuteness getting into trouble! managed to prune roses as vvv windy, plant tulips and sp's! hope everyone well
Mrs G! please dont apologise for talking about other things than gardening, its a good thing that we can all discuss whatever we need to on here, i hadnt realised my council tax goes to all of those things , probably hadnt read the leaflet properly, but have learnt something today, hope you get the outcome you need
best wishes to everyone, must go, need to tidy myself up before my shopping is delivered, the poor chap really dosent need to see me in my pj's ....again!
