No real plans today, OH has gone to supermarket, just hope he buys the right stuff for C.Pudding making tomorrow

Must plant garlic and broad beans bought the seed yesterday. That will involve digging over bed (well loosening soil).

Also need to plant camelia from yesterday - it has buds

And 3 cornish pasties please Dove - solves the dinner problem tonight, Thanks , Ta

  • Hi all just popping in ( while I have energy!) hope you are all well and your gardens have been glorious all summer. I am happily on the mens ( ish) and hope to be back to normal ( whatever that is) in the new year.... Just in time for chilli season...... I managed to get out in the garden at the weekend as I'm wheelchair bound atm it was quite amusing. I was basically tipped out the door!!! I wanted to get out to see how things were doing and I was pleasantly surprised. My 3 year old tells me she's been looking after the garden and bless her she has. Plus we have 3 new chickens who do an ace job of weeding and clearing the borders of leaves lmao...

Right take care people hopefully speak to you all soon.. Laters

  • Thanks all... I'm heaps better now chemo has whacked the living day lights out of me but I'm much better. I do miss the banter on here so much but you would be amazed how much energy simple things take! Plus daytime tv sucks!!!! But I ha e had time ( too much) to browse the Miriad of plant and seed catalogues so am planning a metamorphic garden next year.... I'm reading some Christopher Lloyd books atm and am hooked. Letters to a gardner is fab.. So I have asked oh to take me to great dixter next year!!! Right I'm done in now lol im such a light weight so time for my snooze.... Hugs to you all xx
  • Have a nice snooze Stacey, take care and look forward to pics of your garden next year. X

Snooze well, Stacey. Lovely to see you when you pop in.

I went to the bank this morning for chat with new bank manager, except now there seems to be a team of young accounts managers for clients. She was young and pretty. I had a small savings account that she said wasn't worth keeping open so cashed it. Had email this morning from favourite clothes shop to say they were having a "choc" week with reductions of 30% - 50% of their autumn range. Spent remains of small savings account.image

  • Hi Stacey Doc. good luck with the chemicals. image

Gt. Dexter is my all time favourite and Christo is top of my dinner guest list. Try to go into the house to appreciate the whole man. I was at Beth Chatto's a couple of weeks ago. Very different but great too.

For tea and cakes you will need to go into Northiam. there is a nice tearoom from memory.
