  • Now here's another thing: Sent for some photographic equipment from Amazon (Amazon Marketplace, to be exact) costing £90 and although it was shipped from the USA it did state 'free UK delivery'.

Today I received a letter from Parcel Force stating that 'you have been sent a parcel from overseas, delivery of this parcel to you is subject to payment of £35.60 Customs charges raised by Border Force on behalf of HM Revenue & Customs'.

Rapid email to Amazon resulted in the response that the vendor shouldn't charge for anything above the total amount of the order confirmation invoice  and contact them for reimbursement. I did and they immediately apologised saying 'Sorry we shipped your order the wrong method the charges should have been prepaid' and if I would pay the delivery charges to secure my order, they would reimburse me via my Amazon account.

Getting a bit fed up with some deals I have done of late. image

Must have, KEF.....it's as if they know I hate inefficiency!

All's well anyway, have paid Parcel Force and just received an email from Amazon saying 'We are writing to confirm that we are processing your refund in the amount of £35.60 for your Order ***-***- ***'.
