Yipee my chillies and peppers and mini aubergine are germinating in the heated propagator. Delphiniums not showing yet I'm keeping them at 15 -18C OH doesn't know that I've put an oil radiator in the dining room and I switch it on overnight
I like to hear about people's new plants I'm not buying any more until I have made new flower beds..if I post about any purchases feel free to virtually slap me..
Until a couple of years ago I had only planted trees and shrubs along the boundary borders to provide privacy they are all too close together and I'm removing some each year. I made one eric' bed and remaining shrubs and plants were in containers, I've grown veg from seed for a long time, OH used to joke that the only flower I really liked was cauliflower Joining the forum was the ruin of me or the making I have started to sow flower seeds, planted bulbs and succumb to most plants fevers we have had on here, hence I now have 6 hellebores, snowdrops and even some grasses. Plus I've been given plants by Fidget
Very nice this morning, horrible afternoon. A few more plant germinated dahlia bishops children - cup and saucer.
Sow some more seeds rudbeckia goldstum and verbena bonaresis again after the post man crushed the seeds in my first seed pack I got from a forum member , he folds the envelopes in half which crushes most of the seeds into dust. Its not the first pack of seeds damaged as well.
David K - I broke someone fake animal sheep when I was doing contract work for the council, I didn't really do anything a picked it up put it down and the leg fell off. It was made of chop stick wood frame with a plaster resin. It cost £90 to replace they had two as well .
Finally finished birthday cake ... Long story ... But here it is.... You can help yourself to virtual slices once the birthday girl has blown the candles out (at least it gives the smoke alarm a workout)
I might have had some of it today Runny Managed to strip the bed and get the sheets out on the line They now smell wonderfully fresh and a bit of strawberry and Lily Nothing like a clean fresh bed to get into ....... to sleep I will admit there is nothing like a clear bed to ....... garden in too
Verdun, when I read your post about the juniper I thought you had put jumper and couldn't work out why you would want in it a conical shape!!
We've got the ice cream van doing the rounds already - does this mean it really is spring?????
Got a bit done in the garden, but rather windy so came in and sorted through some paperwork.........where does it all come from......now shredded and the rest put away.
Chicky that cake looks yummy, could I have a small slice for later please
Sorry Runnybeak, I've had it here until about half an our ago Two full loads dry on the line and folded and put away Mind you, I've not done any gardening other than a few weeds pulled up and some pots watered - I had to go down to the village and it was so lovely I got my bike out - but both tyres were flat - I've not ridden it since I broke my wrist so I'm a bit concerned that the inner tubes might be perished - I bought the bike second hand when I retired and it had been sitting in someone's garage hardly used as she'd bought it when she retired then developed a balance problem so it'd hardly been ridden when I got it. The inner tubes are probably the original ones. I've pumped both tyres up and put the bike back in the garage and we'll see how long they stay hard - I might need to get new tubes So I went into the village in the car and did a bit of a shop.
Most of the house has been restored to order, but there's some bits and pieces that I'll need OH's muscles to help me with.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Well I'm suitably rested after coming in from a long day in the garden and having to rush to the local shop for OH's emergency banana rations and then back to make salad for dinner. At least he had a cuppa waiting for me
So, now I'm chilling with the tablet and browsing Taylors Clematis, OH offered the choose 5 and save £5 offer
