We left my car in a garage in the middle of France, went home by train and taxi, had a good night's sleep and started off again in OH's car. The ferry person had booked us on a ferry that left France at 1am so we hired a cabin, but it landed in England at 5am. We had a couple more hours sleep at DIL's, then set off for Suffolk. Now in nice B&B in North Suffolk, have been to local pub for a meal. Knackered, going to bed. Thank you for your good wishes.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Well I got a phone call yesterday lunch time saying please come to the hospital asap. So I walk the few miles to the hospital to find the rush is because the machine they've been wanwanting to use for a test on me is working today so the specialist wanted me in quick before it broke again!
I am now sporting one hearing aid (don't want to overwhelm me with two straight away): EVERYTHING IS SO LOUD! Even my bra makes a noise when I walk!
Add this to my Makaton training (I need to find somewhere to practice desperately!) And we're on our way to getting sorted.
Light drizzle here this morning - with any luck it's set in for the day and I'll have to watch some more tennis
As for the grunting - there's the sound that some people make which is a result of a huge effort being made - I can tolerate that. Then there's the sound that one or two women players make that sounds like Howler monkeys - that's an affectation - STOPPIT! And if it improved an individual's game, how come the men aren't doing it?
Glad to hear that BL and her OH have arrived safely in North Suffolk - I shall meet up with them tomorrow
Clari shall we whisper?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all in hushed voice....hello Clari well done on all your progress with the makaton!
Drizzly day here but off to Helmingham hall gardens all the same with Papa womble. He's on an attempt to cheer me up after a really poo couple of months, bless him!
Off to visit a friend , who used to be a client. I looked after her garden for over 10 years and she bought a marquee just so we could have our wedding reception in her garden.
I spoke to her earlier and she told me she's been walking round this morning with her new gardener making a list of questions to ask me when I arrive.
Back from the gardens at Helmingham hall, absolutely stunning the scent is incredible! I've never seen so many bees!
Gonna edit my pictures and share them with you, there's quite a few.... Did I come back with any plants I hear you ask?!....this is not the thread for that! Sufficient to say I will be visiting the confessional booth later
Thanks for kinds wishes Dove, Panda and Hosta few more weeks of "poo" but garden therapy works wonders

overcast and cool here, maybe I'll get out in the garden and do some more digging and weeding
Luckily for Clari it seems like it's a quiet morning on here

Does that count as a " consultation" ?
I hope things are much less "poo" for you WW.
Drizzling here.I planted a couple of things this morning but got wet. I'm currently watching tennis.
Tomorrow we may go to Trentham gardens in Stoke on Trent.
