Morning all, I used to work near a place that sold full sized giraffes for the garden, I can't believe that anyone would really  want one.

Nice and sunny here but we do have rain forecast for later today.  Plan is to pop to GC for a little look round and move a couple of Heauchera that I recently planted (have changed my mind).  Must pop and see mum and then later this evening I'm off to Firstborn's for a couple of days on Nanna Duty.

Feeling a bit better than yesterday not quite so flat and tired, hopefully a walk around the garden centre will cheer me up and not cost me a fortuneimage

    morning all.

A day of gentle pottering in polytunnel to-day.

Tomorrow we're off  " up country" as they say in these parts. Up country = anything outside Devon or Cornwall.

Will pop into a  couple of my old Trade Nurseries whilst I'm there to pick up some clematis and grasses , and whatever else takes my fancy.

I hope all the chills and maladies are abating and those with poorly parents / children / dogs are coping well.

Enjoy your pottering and your trip Hosta image

I was thinking - has anybody seen anything of Woody lately?  Is he away on holiday?

Lunch! And I need it, I'm starving!

Good luck getting through the GC relatively unscathed Yvie and more things in common, your changing your mind on plant positions a week later. Glad I'm not the only one who does thatimage

Verdun, we nicked your sunshine, its bootiful here and I'm getting things doneimage

Just finished my hosta bed, filled and gravelled and boy did they need it! The oldest hosta was looking really sorry for itself when I lifted, barely any bulk but lots of buds so will treat them well this year, condition the soil they came out of and plant a fernimage

BL, my garden is something like 33m long, that's 100ft in old money? Divided into four areas, 1 mature, 2 semi mature and 1 still in the landscaping phaseimage

Didn't manage it Wintersong. image Came back with two Lavendula Dwarf Blue, a white Anemone Blanda and a pot of pink Sweet Rocket.  I did however avoid the cafe so that not only saved me money but also caloriesimage. I am now drinking a cuppa and deciding if I have the energy to plant them or leave them 'till the weekend.

Yvie I've been very restrained as I only bought a packet of seeds at the garden centre this morning.  Dwarf cosmos just in case the seeds I saved from last year don't germinate.

It was beautiful here first thing this morning but the wind is howling again and spots of rain are aboutimage.  I did manage to put my cold frame in position after moving a couple of slabs but just hope it doesn't blow away.

Clouded over here too Lesley, but have managed to plant my purchases before the rain arrives.  I've just abandoned my first sowing of Cosmos Day Dream because the went too leggy.  I'll wait a couple of weeks and sow again.  This time I'll keep a closer eye on them.  Didn't realise they germinated so quickly. Never mind this is the first real year I have grown from seed so still learing.
