TC hello thanks for letting us share your excitement What sort of pear trees are you having? When we moved here 3 years ago one of the first things we put in the garden was a Concorde pear maiden and we're espaliering it to form one side of the dining area of the terrace
My daughter's a chip of the old block We've had family members and close friends with various disabilities, and I've recently retired from working to support the families of children with severe disabilities and life-limiting conditions.
I think that so many people just aren't aware of the impact of their behaviour on people who have a disability.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Took me a bit of time there Lily, but then I remembered the fabric softener!!!
Dove, she really is a girl to be proud of, a chip off the old block
Hi TC Understand the excitement of your first garden, got mine 2 1/2 years ago and I love it Already had a pear tree, which was unfortunate as I don't like them and my OH won't eat food I've grown (ie not from the shop!) I find my Ma and friends enjoy my conference pears though
Evening all, Have had a little read back, all busy bees as usual.
Well done Dove's daughter, those men should feel ashamed of themselves!
Such a lovely surprise to see BL at meeting today, hadn't crossed my mind she would be there but obvious of course really. This garden scheme sounds so exciting and I am looking forward to seeing so many gardens, just hoping mine lives up to it's description. English afternoon tea was super, had to have extra cake as didn't want host to feel it wasn't appreciated.
Been working flat out in it since return, lots of shrub pruning done and also painted/rescued garden bench, still have another coat of paint to apply, very time consuming with all it's nooks and crannies, but looking much better.
A chap came this morning about delivering topsoil for my soon to be rockery, OH was very grumpy about damaging grass on delivery and expense of it all and surprisingly chap has not got back to me with quote.
On a positive note all seeds planted are germinating well although some got a bit leggy whilst I was away, hoping they will recover. Cosmos and Zinnia look particularly stong and healthy so far, fingers crossed.
Also hollyhocks planted last year are shooting up as are sweet peas. So exciting.
Busy day tomorrow, need to finish bench and quick visit to a friend plus teaching in the afternoon, not even planned lesson yet, must crack on, Friday dedicated to garden as is Sunday, Horseriding and Judo competition Saturday (taxi service) so day lost, grrrw, shouldn't say that poor Charlie. Apparently family movie organised for Sat PM, Paddington, what can I say???
Anyway, might not have time to post but will be keeping an eye on you all, happy gardening and I do hope Verdun gets his share of cupcake.

I noticed BL, but the chat on here moves at a phenomenal pace, very difficult to keep up! I think Chicklets cake got posted about the same time so idle chat has no chance. And not greedy, just appreciative of the finer things in life.
Good night.

DD, I had extra cake too for the same reason (no, really it was because I'm greedy
). I mentioned meeting you today, but don't think anyone noticed.
Welcome TC, glad you are enjoying your garden. It's great when things you've planted come up.
I noticed BL, but the chat on here moves at a phenomenal pace, very difficult to keep up! I think Chicklets cake got posted about the same time so idle chat has no chance.

Morning all.
I noticed BL, just didn't reply due to a few distractions, 5 to be exact
Still trying to decide on an empty stomach, let me get my porridge and coffee
