whenever we had new people join our office, we always warned them they were due to get the lurgy, it happened without fail! on the bright side, just think how many antibodies you are building up , in 12 months you will be resistant to everything
some people swear that excercise helps to speed up your immune system, i think id rather have a cold!
Sorry to rub it in Yvie - but MrT was wonderful, funny and, as always, perfectly in tune. He'd put people half his age to shame Don't worry - he's promised to see us all again 'next time' so start saving! He finished by doing the traditional song 'Wild Mountain Thyme'. Just beautiful. Tears were shed...
Dry here just now but rain to come later. I have other things to do this morning so will have a quiet day. Off for a quick catch up here just now.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Went to the GC yesterday got my free bulbs from the mag and had another voucher 5 pound off when I spent 25 quid got a few plants for that - they kept jumping into the trolley and some seed compost to start them sweet peas seeds off in Autumn this year
Just a quick pop in, if not I look around and the morning has gone.
BL - hope the 'Garden Inspector' is kind, absolutely no reason why not, fabulous garden. If it is the same man that came to our meeting he really was lovely and very positive about everything Mike his name was - ( I think.)
My sister was a primary school teacher for years and every new term got some bug or other, constantly had a cold - that's why I taught adults, although on some occasions hard to know the difference! Seems like a lot of good advice on here, apart from the exercise Bekkie! And btw, think of your spelling as creative interpretation - we all know what you mean and no-one is counting the errors .(except some sad old has been of a teacher perhaps).
Been busy all morning, dead heading and tidying up after a much needed rain shower last night. Also got 4 containers of bulbs planted up just like Monty said, fingers crossed now they all come up - and in the right order, did get a bit lost at times, I started off with them all lined up in order by colour and size, but the system fell down a couple of time with odd numbers. Never mind.
Off now to weed between the iris and lavender now it's been trimmed back and think might squeeze a few daffs in-between.Hoeing to be done and finally the edging on my new rose garden now I have finally decided where it is going.
Leaving 'Operation Rockery' until next week, have a ton of soil and gravel to mix for that as well as moving a whole pile of rocks halfway across the garden.Maybe that job might wait until the week after, have my winter borders to plant out, much easier task, build myself up gently for the rock moving.
Enjoy your afternoon everyone, hope the weather stays nice for you all.
“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
Missed this morning - Bernard needed charging and I was straight on it when I got into work
OH has the plumber coming round this afternoon - hopefully we'll find the leak that next door are complaining about! Fingers crossed this one is better than the last one
Good day - have done very little but in my mind have done loads. Emptied a water butt - one more full to go - hope it does rain on Thursday.
I have spread used compost on newly dug small bed, but like everything else it needs a good wet!
Could do bulbs tomorrow, needs some thought though. I hoped to get tulip Cairo from the show (main pot display) but didn't see any, and don't really want to go mail order route. Hmmmmm!
