  • Verd, Tulips in their wild setting... halfway up some foresaken mountain, hanging on for dear life... with rubbish soil, if soil it is.... hot, dry summers... deep snow in winter....how on earth do I replicate these conditions?  Or is it mollycoddling them which is at fault?

Ggirl, dry here at present but lots of large puddles to negotiate when I go to the annual British Legion Dinner tonight in the Village Hall.

  • Do you think there will be wild tulips in the Urals in May?

Dove.  I think it is more Turkey, Iraq and Iran but I could be wrong.

Nothing done today except the supermarket. I am struggling to motivate myself at the moment. Hopefully i will feel better after a bottle of red with tea.

How can you lie there and think of England

Lily, when ya feel like that red in anything works wonders - don't you agree punkdoc? ( winky smiley).
  • The area I'll be going to is Bashkortostan which is just above Kasakhstan so in that sort of area/climate - and daughter in law says that there are wild tulips there, but she can't remember when they flower.
