Thank you for all the support. Dad was being a bit previous. Just because he walked down the corridor with the support of the physio doesn't mean he can come home yet. Assessment will be made. No stairs to negotiate as 3 bedrooms and bathroom and separate toilet downstairs. (fourth bed upstairs as modification) He tried it on with a different doctor"when can I drive", only to get slapped down as two cardio doctors have already told him he is not allowed , and documented this so he is not insured. However I suspect this wont stop him, so Mum has decided to sell the frontera, and scrap the caravan. I dont want him appearing on the news, going the wrong way up the M1. My brother has already ordered a walk in shower tray and new toilet and sink , to take out bath and turn bathroom into wet room, so it is easier. That will be done this weekend. I got the nurses a large box of biscuits, given today, and a tin of heroes for when he comes home. The nurses on his ward go above and beyond, although the fact I went to complain about a and e treatment might have some impact on that. Todays nurse was standing over him every hour, making sure he drinks. Hes also making sure he eats properly.
Whether we can get him to do this when he comes home is another thing.
The confusion seems to have abated as soon as his blood pressure and hydration are back to normal. He's now leader of the escape committee!!!
Well done fidget for getting things sorted (kind of). Your Dad sounds as determined as mine that life will always carry on as normal in a week or two. You and your brother have done an amazing job to see that his life is made easier. Best of luck that all goes well. (hugs).
Although I do like weasels ..... but I couldn't eat a whole one..
Glad it's progressing fidget. I can understand the problem with the driving. I wish someone had taken my Dad's license off him in later years. It's about independence though isn't it? Very difficult.
How on earth do you cook meals with only one pan bekkie?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

My Gran was the wise one and that was one of her more polite sayings.
After posting elsewhere tonight I did remember another expression this one from my from my MIL
If you catch a weasel sleeping p**s in his ear
Have a good night all x
I'll do that KEF
and have a good night
I like that saying KEF
Although I do like weasels
