Back home - so evening all! Afraid I wasn't out sailing, BM. Got no sea legs... Actually I was singing, with a small group of friends in the town - that's my secret vice
Mum was well, thanks; in spite of the Alzheimers we always have a good laugh and I think both of us feel better as a result. She loves flowers and gardens so I can always find something to make her smile! Unfortunately I can't get her into my garden any more (there's 15 steps down into it), but we make do with the little garden at the old folks' home where she lives.
That bank looks a mess at the moment, so I'll not photograph it until next June I think, when hopefully things will be flowering, If the slugs leave anything, that is...
Bekkie, I always take Ibuprofen after breakfast if I know I'm going to have a heavy day in the garden. It seems to nip the aches & pains in the bud!
Hopefully my gravel should be delivered tomorrow so maybe I'll get my path finished by the end of the week - though I'm off on babysitting duties on Wednesday & Thursday again.
Night night all!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Dixon of dock green? What do you lot mean, you can't remember? In the pram my ah hem. Old geezer as i remember...wore green...got the baddies...did he wear tweeds as well? ...Anyway who was he? I don't remember...Think I remember my mum talking about him....
Sailing, yep im up for it unless it involves water!
Can't remember what colour Dixon of Dock Green wore - telly was black and white then.
mizzly drizzly here again. Went out for a long walk with littlest chicklet yesterday evening, came back at dusk, and who was there to greet us on the footpath but Brock the Badger - looked at us for a few seconds and then trundled off. Made us very happy. Closely followed by 2 deer and a fox, we felt like we were on safari.
I'm up early because OH has gone to Leeds, with an early start. I can't doze off because I have to get up at 7 to go off into the Derbyshire peaks for work. Off to the cliff face again. Well I can see the quarry face from the back door anyway. We caught up with last week by 5 yesterday, so today should be a doddle. So long as the computers don't go down again, dad does as he's told, and the flickering fluorescent tube gets fixed.

Goodnight all. Escape for a while in your dreams
