Still bitterly cold outside but I looked up just now to see the shed light on - a hedgehog had set the motion detection on.

Disappeared by the time I got up there but this can't be a good sign. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Put some food and fresh water out - he's only woken 'cos he's hungry.  If he comes and gets it see of you can catch him and get him to a Hedgehog Rescue place - he might need intravenous feeding.

    Good luck image

What should I be feeding, Dove? I've moved a bowl of water to near where I first saw it and so it might avoid temptation of the pond.

The birds put their far share of seeds on the floor but I get the feeling bread and milk isn't great.

Pdoc yes I have a Rhino, flags have been on ok on other two but since this needs to be long term and we are on clay it is on a concrete base, I think 4" deep might be more in places to level it with the access path. I will send you a PM !

Clari - No bread and milk - it makes hedgehogs very poorly or even dead!!! image

Meat-based cat/dog food or dried meatbased cat biscuits.  Sunflower hearts, chopped peanuts, banana, raisins, mealworms all good for hedgehogs.  And fresh water.

Safely back homeimage.  Good traffic wise, but its a long old driveimage.  Had a lovely lunch with the birthday girl - and so lovely to see the shady bank and pond for real - even the fact that it was blowing a hoolie didn't dampen my enthusiasmimage.

now time for some pasta, courtesy of littlest chicklet (who is feeling like she missed out on a "road trip").  Girls are happily bickering away - I think they missed each otherimageimage.  Won't be long beforeimage
