Shouldnt worry Fairy about a bit of extra ingredient.  Secondborn met a nice chap, although he was a little OCD about his flat.  One day she visited him and managed to walk over his newly laid wood floor in heels. The rubber tip and fallen off and he had holes all over the floor.  Secondborn was mortified and offered to cook him a lovely turkish meal to apologise.  She was just about to tell him to be careful as she had lost her false nail in the meatball mix when he went a funny colour as he swallowed.  Needless to say the relationship didnt last long.

Yes Fairy, forgot about kneading bread...  image  Actually I don't think I'll try very hard to clean my hands properly yet, cos I'm going out picking again soon.

Can't understand why there aren't more locals picking blackberries.  It's not that long (well, maybe 25 years...  image) since the Autumn school holiday was known as Blackberry Week.  Have we lost the taste for free food?

Might try the surgical gloves when preparing the fruit - thanks for the tip, SGL.  Think I'd rip them on the brambles when picking though...  image

Not really a nail varnish person.  Maybe someone should make removable false nails... held on with... Velcro??  Hmm.  Maybe not such a good idea!  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I know where you've been eviestevie. image I bought neon  hellebores last  February. One with a yellow back and one with a red back. Both lovely plants.  I bought the new Primadonna last week.Just got to decide what to chuck out to make space for all the new plants.

Yesterday I bought a Miss ruby buddleja reduced to £5 and a red banana reduced to £5. and then got two vouchers for free tea in the cafe. When I got home there was a voucher waiting for me for a free pack of bulbs if you spend over £10.  mmmm might have to make another trip.

I've just been out and removed some of the hornwort from the pond and left it on the side for the critters to return home.  I've also chopped back the vinca major as it had ideas about Little Wilderness which didn't conform with mine - It's fine if you keep the upper hand, but if you let it ramble on it will ramble on and on and on.

I've made a cottage pie for supper this evening and am just going to have a light lunch - then the sitting room needs dusting, hoovering and the windows need cleaning - think I'll get OH to mow the lawns tomorrow image
