We were quite good Bekkie and had a lemon drizzle slice (not really proper cake LOL! ), it must be one of our 5 a day with all that lemon
I've not seen Mr Toast either Lily so it's not just you not keeping up
I have however seen the resurrection of another thread by someone who hasn't posted much....not wanting to jump to conclusions but please be aware all posters that no-one will ruin my good mood at the moment.......this orchid lady is well and truly happy That's enough if that
Lesley......I don't know what to do with my plants I should have asked, they are tiny babies and I don't want to kill them.....GH or just somewhere sheltered?
I got some Dianthus, Hellebores and Erysimum Bowles Mauve....all too small to plant out yet and I'm not sure where best to put them as I don't have a cold frame (where's that Christmas list gone.......)
I was very touched, I wasn't expecting a present but feel a bit guilty I didn't have a present in return......note for next time......take a present (and learn to take cuttings!) (KEF, you can have a taste of some special drink as your present )
A very quick nip in to say hello to everyone, off to bed now as cc waking up 3 or 4 times a night, bb usually climbs in early hours so I' m sandwiched in the middle of 2 wriggly piglets so not all that restful...! O.l, 3 lovely choices, I was planning to use a plastic storage box for a 'cold frame' ! I gave no solace set all, hopefully name getting nearer top if list for allotment..! Hope everyone has a lovely evening night night
Well RM, that will do until Santa can get the cold frame down the chimney I have a big yellow storage box (that I got free with 10 million packs of nappies when the boys were little!), it's currently being used as a water collector, like Monty's galvanised trough but cheaper!! I could use that with a piece of plastic sheeting I have over the too at night
Some bricks or timber and a double layer of plastic sheeting for the top will suffice as a basic cold frame OL. When a friend was getting new windows I took a couple of her old ones to make a cold frame. Should have taken a few more and made a proper tomato growhouse
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've been trying to find some old window frames but not had much luck.
Thanks Lesley and thank you ever so much once again for my plants I have a little 'nursery' area behind my GH which is quite sheltered so I will pop them there When I have potted them on at weekend. Night night x

I saw some thistles for sale in the GC at weekend
I'd think just somewhere sheltered and not too hot for now OL....oh no sorry - they'll definitely need the protection of a cold frame
These GCs will sell any old tat won't they?

Just pot them on and keep in a sheltered corner somewhere OL and then do what I do and keep your fingers crossed
Have a good night all, can't keep my eyes open any longer.
