Yvie soz I misunderstood about fees etc.. When fees are spoken about I just assume dementia, partly past job & family stuff. I'm happy that your Mum is "still with you" mentally but sad about her frailty. That is what seems to be happening with my Mum.
Anyway Sat' night so let's be happy peeps.
No cabin party tonight, so wonder if we get an invite to France? Tardis ready Think someone has a OH free night and can make space for a party
Hi KEF - yes fingers crossed - we've had a sunny day here today, but noticeably cooler than of late - I've been wearing a light vee neck sweater today instead of the silk tee shirts I've been wearing all summer.
At the moment I'm hitting the refresh button before typing a post - I think it's keeping stuff in reasonable order -but if several people are posting at once it does go all higgledy piggledy ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good evening everyone Been back half an hour and had a lovely afternoon, picked OH up in the way in and despite us losing he had a good afternoon so happy orchids all round
We went to 3 GCs, one was more of a nursery I have been wanting to visit for a while, didn't buy anything there but they had some lovely Dahlias for only ??2.50 (dark leaves and yellow flowers, very pretty). Mum saw a rose she liked but they all had lots of black spot so I'm going to order it direct from DA.....I forgot to write the name down though so how I can find it (puzzled face).
2nd GC and the main event was good, but as I said expensive. They did however have some chilli plants reduced so mum bought OH one to say well done, I think it's a Mohawk, not very hot as I tasted one but very tasty. I am going to overwinter it in the house.
Finally, my local GC, still no Agapanthus reduced but did get a Buddleja half price which made the car smell lovely
I will have to go and change my settings then I will post a pic.
Well done GG, one day I might be confident enough to enter a show, it must be so satisfying
Oooh well done Ggirl...... waiting anxiously for pics here
Have a great night out Dove and a fab picnic tomorrow.
Panda, you have reminded me its time to weed my patio too - how do plants always find their way in those tiny cracks. Thought of you today as I was having my toes "pimped"
Bought a deep blue hydrangea called Zorro as a tq for lovely NNB - she too is plagued by deer, but they leave the macrophyllia ones alone. Managed to resist all other temptations (apart from crunchie ice cream).
Here we go, a touch blurry as the wind kept blowing them about Look at all those chillies, you couldn't get that many for £2.99 in the SM, there are also a lot of green ones still on it and some flower buds. Thank you to my lovely mummy
