Apparently new research suggests magpies aren't attracted to shiny things - they're frightened of them. I might ask Elton if he can come and stand in the garden then....
I buy plants Verd - but only the ones on offer and that I want. I got some great buys this time last year at the nursery as I needed quite a bit for this empty space. 25% off everything. I don't do the kind of thing you're talking about though - plants that are designed to part folk from their money to make the balance sheets look better for the year...
Wet and windy here as forecast, which is a pity. One of those typically Scottish days - four seasons in one! Sun is shining through the back windows, black clouds at the front and rain. Perhaps tomorrow will be a bit better
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all well it seems by settings have changed ti basic all on their own, so can only do and ........ I think I'll go with
Sounds like we have some busy people today, have fun everyone and let's hope it brightens up a bit, cold grey and windy again here (cross face),
I'm going to a GC, it's an expensive one but nice so don't know if I'll buy anything but am taking my mum out and she hasn't been there before. Will probably call at my local GC to see of the Agapanthus are reduced yet.

It was misty other night Bekkie and I loved it
Think at night time that's my fave, all peaceful
bekkie if you want to send me pics over the weekend I can get OH to do for me, you've got my email
And it's no problem at all x
I agree about autumn nights, rather partial to hot choc with a drop of something to keep the cold out!
Verdun, I completely admit to being desperate - moved in in April, poor garden neglected from time of sale (October ) - so yes very desperate!
However, next year it will be all planned and perfect - promise - how often have you heard/said that before?
Will send over a slice of plum cake later to make you less grumpy.
BM - you are so right about OH (for now - lawn is getting a bit long will need him back for that).
Oh Bekkie you're on form today
Look forward to the cake DD and sure the lawn can wait, it's only you to see it this weekend
Where in the uk are they visiting?
