I like the seasons changing, probably better than the season, just get bored i suppose image

Apparently new research suggests magpies aren't attracted to shiny things - they're frightened of them. I might ask Elton if he can come and stand in the garden then....image

I buy plants Verd - but only the ones on offer and that I want. I got some great buys this time last year at the nursery as I needed quite a bit for this empty space. 25% off everything. I don't do the kind of thing you're talking about though - plants that are designed to part folk from their money to make the balance sheets look better for the year... image

Wet and windy here as forecast, which is a pity. One of  those typically Scottish days - four seasons in one! Sun is shining through the  back windows, black clouds at the front and rain. Perhaps tomorrow will be a bit better image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

  • Verdun, I completely admit to being desperate - moved in in April, poor garden neglected from time of sale (October ) - so yes very desperate!

However, next year it will be all planned and perfect - promise - how often have you heard/said that before? image

Will send over a slice of plum cake later to make you less grumpy. image

BM - you are so right about OH (for now - lawn is getting a bit long will need him back for that). image

Sounds like we have some busy people today, have fun everyone and let's hope it brightens up a bit, cold grey and windy again here (cross face),

I'm going to a GC, it's an expensive one but nice so don't know if I'll buy anything but am taking my mum out and she hasn't been there before. Will probably call at my local GC to see of the Agapanthus are reduced yet.

    Morning all.

Thanks for the PM, Dove, expect you've found the reply.

Which garden are you visiting DD?

Thank you for saying I seem lovely OL, but "seem" ?!!image

Have a lovely day at Great Comp, Scroggin. Wish I could come, I've never been there.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
