Do it black...all black....BLACK...just BLACK I tell you.....
I'm going to sit on the fence..(did you get that joke Verd? ) and say they're both good, but it depends what other colours you already have in the way of paintwork. Too many different shades can be a bit restless. It also depends whether you want something to complement the planting or be a contrast.
I've not been much help really have I?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It was a Fast Show reference... the artist who always paints everything black....oh well..
I rather like the black wood work that I've done here - partly out of necessity as it was a sea of bright orange . It shows off the brighter foliage colours, but I'm also doing a screen 'thingy' and I've got a sage green paint to do that and the old bench I inherited.

I also prefer the bluey colour Panda. Could I make a suggestion of using the same paint on something else in the garden to match, perhaps a wooden trough, a chair or some pots the same colour to give the garden unity.
Didn't see the Fast Show Fairy - I was thinking Panda coloured - just add white bits
Lesley, that's not a bad idea Sure OH would love the idea of more things for the garden Maybe a round tree trunk seat thingy to go round my soon to be bought silver birch tree (bday pressie from OH )
Aww thank you everyone, I'll be squiffy with all that bubbly, especially as we have a bottle chilling too, and I've got to go all the way to Ludlow tomorrow
Making a fortune and retiring somewhere nice would be lovely, but to be honest it's about job / life satisfaction mainly at the moment.....as long we make enough to be happy and have a lovely holiday every year But, when I am rich I'll remember all my lovely friends

Black would be good Fairy as Panda gets lots of bright light down her way ...give her another loud shout
Didn't see goth tendencies for you Fairy
Other woodwork is a rather faded green - imagine it was painted about 10 years ago and fading/coming off!
Don't fancy black KEF

I've gone to the dark side Panda...
