Clari, fingers & toes crossed for you, really hope all goes well for you. We get to meet 'Jack' on Monday 15:30 (will follow advice of a splash of 'eau de roast chicken' - thanks for that).

BL very inconvenient time for a party - we are glued to SCD, loving it. Interval now so off to get some mince pies with ice cream - ooh, seem to have run out of ice -cream.... Verd???

Enjoy your evening all, hope the weather improves, wind not good. image

Evening All,  Been a bit busy with Mom lately but thought I would pop in and say hello.  Have read back quite a few pages but so much has been going on so please forgive me if I forget anything important.

Hope you and Jack get on well DD, try a few doggie treats in your pocket.

New baby and mom - hope they are still doing well.

Verdun, lay off those truffles or your gardening trousers wont fit you in the new year (says the woman who has just devoured a block of fruit and nutimage)

Matty hope you are feeling OK.

Everyone seems to be busy with Christmas at the moment, I'm a bit behind, not wrapped anything and still have loads of Christmas Cards to deliver.

Back from the party. Strictly seems to be recording OK. I want to watch it from the beginning, so not tonight. May go to bed. It's 10.30pm here.

    Happy Christmas everyone  image

  • Well, it's all over for another year...  Strictly, that is.  Wouldn't dream of spoiling things for those of you who've recorded it, so I'll just say I thought it was a cracking final.  image

Panic Saturday, eh?  What will they think of next??  Happy to say I just bought cheese, and didn't notice myself panicking unduly.  image

We're currently trying to help daughter and family sort out the logistics of moving house to Galway.  Most removals firms specify a 2-6 week gap between collecting the furniture etc, and delivering it to Ireland; anyone would think it was Australia!  They try to wait until they have a full load.  You can get it delivered at your convenience rather than theirs, but only by paying a hefty supplement (£2000, in one case!!).  Such a system isn't really family-friendly; try telling your toddler she has to live without Thomas the Tank Engine for a month...  Daughter now seems to have found an Irish firm who collect on a Friday and deliver the following Wednesday, which is just about bearable, particularly if they stay with friends or relations (maybe us!) for the intervening period, so they'll have such desirables as beds, a table and chairs for those 5 days.  No doubt it'll all work out eventually...  At least they have enthusiastic first-time buyers for their house in Warrington, though nothing's signed yet.

    Night all!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Oh My goodness! Daughters eh?!

We are trying to help too. Difficult or what!

Why can't they just come and live in the next village?
