Panda, I've had so little interest in the peanuts that they've gone mouldy in the feeder! Very disgusting. Although due to budget cuts the birds are only getting sunflower seeds and peanuts at the moment (and homemade fat balls but they're not going down either). I can only assume someone else nearby has a better selection!

I randomly was reading an article about a large family and it commented on how often their washing machine was on (almost every day). Well there's only two of us in this household and I'll be on my fourth wash cycle of the day come lunch time so either they meant there's very rarely a day where it isn't running all day or I've been conditioned to change my socks far too often!

Glad its not just me re peanuts for birds, had to unlodge them with a pokey thing where they had all stuck together Yuk! But birds have gone through the seed like nobodys   business.

I've just come back from the village hall. They had story tellers and OH sang Christmassy French songs with the local choir. Earlier they'd been to sing in the Old People's Home. Then Father Christmas came and gave presents to the village children. When we came to this village in 1990 with our 4 children there were hardly any children and the village school had closed down. Now there are over 50.

  • Hello folks!  We're home image

KEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What is he like???????????  I presume you'll be getting breakfast in bed every day from now until Hell freezes over!!!

Aged Ps ok - well, Pa in bed a bit under the weather - they think he may have a bladder infection - they've started him on anti-biotics and he's getting lots of tlc.  He slept most of the time we were there but looked ok and his breathing was ok (for him).   He woke to say hello and ask what day it was, and he had a little thickened lemon barleywater to drink.  Ma was in her wheelchair next to him holding his hand and the tv was on quietly.  She doesn't remember sending out the Christmas cards but I assured her that she did it (with some help from Bro) and we've received our and so have my kids, so she's relieved about that.  She said she's not usually that organised! image

We saw a wonderful stormy sunset on the way home.  image
