I sowed some seed of my Canna last Autumn and ended up with hundreds of seedlings. I've potted on 144.

2 beds mulched to perfection before my knee and OH's elbow started to object.

In at 6am tomorrow, not looking forward to it. I'm not really an early morning sort of a chap.

Glad you're getting nearer a solution for your border Lily.  These decisions are so difficultimage.

Been a bit of a hectic day today and won't be around tomorrow.  See you Fridayimage.

Hello all, done a few bits in the garden

Woody will take some pics for you and the rest of the forkers to see

Been on a bat walk tonight saw a few small bats, knackered now - ears still not good had ear muffs on protecting them

YVIE: I think your supplier's talking through his hat.  My Sanguinaria canadensis 'Plena' is flowering at the moment, in shade, and I reckon my garden is likely to be colder than yours.  (Photo a few pages back, on this thread, if you want to know what it ought to look like... image)  And Dicentra spectabilis should also be in flower now.

Hope you have a great time at the Harrogate show.  image  I'll be there on Saturday, so I'll just miss you!  I had wondered whether to wear a small fork pinned to my coat, in case I met any other Forkers at the show...  image

Tomorrow I'm working in our local park again.  I think I'll be clearing out rubbish and saplings from a boggy place in the woods.  Sounds lovely and messy!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Both my bleeding heats (white and pink) are in flower Yvie image They're not terribly big, and I thought I'd lost them till I did some weeding image Bought another, much larger one from my friendly market stall for £1.50 image Need to plant it somewhere a bit more weed free.

Thanks Lesley image Plants have been in position on the grass since September image image

Morning all. I can't remember the last time I got up to work in the dark. Hey ho.

Yviestevie, when you go to Harlow Carr and Betty's , ask in Betty's why they have no apostrophe in their sign ( Bettys ) I asked when I was there and received blank stares .tee  hee.

    Good morningimage

Cloudy here but at least we haven't got that early morning touch of frost that we have had the past few days.It had a few of my seedlings and my dahlias. I should have put them in close to the bungalow walls.

Yesterday, when I was at market,I bought a dozen Maran eggs. Luckily we had a broody hen and she is now sitting on them.image
