LilyP image.  My other battle is with mare's tail though I just pull it up where I see it and am learning to live with itimage  We also have rosebay willowherb everywhere from the untended land at the bottom of the garden but that is easily pulled up.

Lesley we have so much willow herb that I allow it in some places. After all it's colour!a rewarding weed to remove tho as it comes out sooooo nicely.  Sorry about marestail really  tricky one. I had a rewarding morning removing masses of dead and damaged plants all due to Bertha at the weekend.  Last of our fallen tree removed. So hoping the autumn gales dont hit too soon!

You deserve a respite from the wind for quite a while LilyP.  That was more than enough. Hope you haven't lost too many plants.

Not been very warm here Verdun but better than yesterday when I had to put the heating onimage  You paint a lovely picture of yourself.  Who's been throwing tomatoes at you?  I'll get themimageimage

It's been bright but breezy here today - there's some cloud banking up in the west now, but not a lot. image

Not caught up with anything on here apart from one thread, which has resulted in some steam coming out my ears. I'd like to recommend how to deal with your mares tail Lesley, or your willowherb LilyP, but I'd be remiss if I didn't advise you on what safety precautions to take whilst doing it, so I won't....and there isn't a suitable smiley for being hacked off either so this will have to do.....imageimageimage

and as for your tomatoes Verd...tweezers love....oh -  but wear safety goggles, a hard hat and maybe a full set of armour image

Lesley - glad you had a good hol. I refused to put heating on despite the lousy temperature. I'm too mean... image

Ludicrous weather really for August - my poor tomatoes don't know what's happening to them! Mind you, I don't think many are going to ripen anyway -  Moneymaker - but some are the size of small apples! image

Clari I hope you soon feel well. In my view big difference between cold and flu not one for supplements. Only had flu once and collapsed and fell through front glass door, still have scars on my legs. Drink plenty of fluids, eat what you can make yourself eat, and listen to your body sleep 20 / 24 if needed. Hugs. x
