BM - Falabella is the dog sized 'horse'. Why would you would be my answer to those...
Interesting what you said about Carex bronze form Verd. I used to grow in a previous garden and it was always seeding into the gravel in the sunniest bits. We think of carexes being water lovers - pond side sedges - but it just shows how different they can be.
Or downright irritating, depending on your point of view. I've gone off grasses quite a bit though.
Yvie - poor pidgeon. Wonder how they catch them if they don't just get their homing instinct back on track? Or maybe they just don't...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yvie, in my experience if an animal is well enough not to be caught, then there isnt too much to worry about- yet. I do hope you can sort him out, i would be slightly concerned about returning it as i imagine it wont have much purpouse if its lost its way
I lost the plot a while ago BM. I worked with horses for a long time - could never understand the little 'pet' horse thing and that's really what they are. I won't say any more in case I offend anyone!
Trying to take up hems on youngest fairy's new skirts for return to school on Wednesday. Pile of ironing as well...women's work right enough bekkie

Hi Beaus Mum yes it is quite lovely here.
Hoping to get back to the lotty today if the rain eases up...it's getting brighter here. I will be sooo achy if i do though!
Anyone any ideas what I can grow now? I think Japanese Onions are a possibility. Not sure if that is from setts or seeds though?
Scroggin hope my lotty will be as full as yours next year!
