The shepherd probably won't notice KEF - too busy washing his socksimage

Just had a lovely bath to ease the aching muscles but at least the house looks cleaner.  I know you're glad to have the dogs back LilyP but they do have drawbacks - such as muddy paws.

Your potted tree sounds nice Matty, apart from the wildlife that came with itimageimage

Hope your hydrangea arrived Verdun and is now in pride of placeimage

Have a good evening - I'm of to watch masterchef while OH hogs the sitting room for the football.

  • Hi all,

Lovely lunch, really very professional, was pleasantly surprised, Blue Lagoon cocktail aperitif was a lovely start too. Students were extremely nervous but very pleasant and tried there very best with their English, obviously been practicing for days poor things, bless. image

After our first frost this morning and surprise of a frozen windscreen on car the weather turned out gorgeous too, got up to 9°.

Taxi duties over for the night, was going to have a little glass of wine and watch some TV but feel very sleepy so off to bed with my book, obviously of an age when drinking alcohol at lunchtime is a step too far. image

Goodnight all, enjoy your evening, hope the weather is kind. image

    Morning Lesley, Morning Beauimage

hope the Scottish Forkers stay safe in the fall out from the weatherbombimage

Yesterday our brand new ( well 18 months, and serviced 6 months ago to boot) boiler packed up.  Plumber can't touch it as it will invalidate our guarantee, manufacturer (a well known one) will come out and see us next Tuesimage.  So having forked out big time last year, we are now without heating and hot water for nearly a week.image Grumble grumble.  We have log burners that will go into use, but you have to be here to get them going, and are not much help in the morning.

    Rant overimage

Chicky that is dreadful serviceimage.  This isn't the time of year you need to be without heating and hot water.  At least you do have the log burners to tide you over. Hopefully it can be fixed on the day they come and you don't have to wait for parts to be ordered.  The voice of experience hereimage

Have a good day anyway - I should probably have kept my mouthimage

Good morning all. Been very windy in the night and more due today.

SM for me but not mum, too cold and I don't want her getting blown away image

Chicky that is not good service if it is the firm I think I would have expected better image You can borrow my mum they usually come sooner if you have an elderly person in residence.

    Stay safe everyone.
