Stonking hot here today, it didn't even have to warm up first as I wore a t-shirt and bodywarmer to town at 9 am (because i'm the type of girl who feels the chill on a summer's day) and quickly removed top layer
Needed to get something for climbers to climb up and across the pergola, but first I had to get my eyebrows threaded, it had been too long and I was so I've been hiding behind my fringe for a week
Home by lunch when I set to work fixing rolls of sturdy green mesh across the top of the pergola, (even in this heat ). Tomorrow I will do the posts and planting, OH wants a clematis up each post and the maybe a rose for dappled shade. He's not good in full sun but I'm a lizard and just soak it up
Pdoc - I know you warned me but those plants do have sticky labels don't they !!!
Somehow a Euphorbia martini and an Anthyllis vulneraria leapt onto my trolly with the bags of manure - no idea how that happened but you can't put them back once you've got to the checkout can you - tooooooooooo embarassing
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

You did well shopping Lesley and I would choose a cream clematis not white as the rose is creamy tinge and think white may be bit stark?
