Hi everyone, Bekkie, you lodger is really georgeous always had dogs until I moved into this house but because we are coming and going such a lot we decided it wouldnt be fair to have another. No rain here its still el Scorchio but hubby has been saying how bad it looked on the news down south, so I hope everyone is alright. Still rearranging plants in the garden. Lupins and hollyhocks potted on last night are looking good, and all the plants I moved over the last few days seem to be doing OK. Popped along to the GC again today and bought two new plants a Knautia called Thunder and Lightening (appropriate for some today) and a L.......mum (big white daisies). Still waiting for delivery of my big pink parasol, it might be tomorrow now. As soon as its delivered it will start raining so make the most of the sunshine if you live near me.
Sorry to all but I haven't read your posts I came on to talk about schorchio weather but saw that Pdoc was back.
Pdoc it's a killer seeing strong independent able parents collapse in front of you. Hugs. Even more of a problem when you can see the dangers of solo living that they can't see / accept .
I've been at Mum's today her 86th and honestly I could weep. NO HUGS folks, so many of us are in the same situation. Not being presumptious but I know what you are all like Might accept an ice cream
Today was supposed to be part cloud, part sun and 20c. Hmmmm.....sun all day and still 28c in the shade
Cheers Yvie! Keep it in the pack unti september please
I have been avoiding the news, found it too much recently, i had no idea about the storms til a few people on here mentioned it! Hope everyone is ok
The "lodger " is still here, his owners are coming back on the train, i cant remember where they went, but there is a chance the storms have delayed them. The baby has just latched on to my dogs nose, little terror, my dog wont even growl! He had a smacked nose and a telling off, dosent like me now!
No proper rain here today, just enough wetness to stop anything happening in the garden, especially no washing on the line - shame 'cos the last spin finished just as the wetness started outside
I did get the chance earlier to attend to the 30+ tomato plants on the terrace, taking out sideshoots and tying them up to the canes - providing the weather behaves itself we've got a good crop coming - the tomatoes have grown better than ever before - gardening fingers very crossed
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
