Morning All Had a quick skim through, don't think I missed much apart from naughty pups, being too hot, melting carpets, a bit of plant talk (it is a gardening forum after all ) and lots of ice cream talk
Yesterday was tough in more ways than one. I wasn't in the food hall, I was in the 'greenhouse' a great big massive conservatory/greenhouse FULL of plants and I was placed right next to the Agapanthus!!! Torture or what??? So as well as resisting temptation I nearly melted. Got home, bit of house work to do, bit of stress so not a great evening and didn't feel much like doing anything
Anyway, from yesterday's visit, I have the following on my wish list (in no particular order, I think you'll all know which would be first if it was!) ;
Penstemon, Japanese Anemone (the flowers look like orchids), Lobelia Fan Blue and/or ComplimentScarlet (a tall variety I didn't know existed!), Monkshoods (absolutely beautiful!), Astilbe, Agapanthus Silver Moon, Alstoemeria Machu and/or Indian Summer, Sidalcea Little Princess So all in all it was a very successful window shopping working day, all names noted on my iPhone and not a penny spent!
However, on the way home OH. Asked me to pop in the local GC to pick up the lawn food spreader, BIG mistake LOL!! They had 2 Chocomocca Cosmos left and as it was only. £5.99 for quite a big healthy plant and also top of my immediate wish list after seeing it in GW, it just happened to jump in the lawn food spreader
Well that's all for today, off for a swim later for a bit if gentle exercise.
There were about half a dozen varieties Lily, so gorgeous. But I knew they were cheaper in my local GC and when I went in yesterday she said the would be going in bargain corner any time now, so I will be going in daily
OL, i love monkshood too, just be careful because they are really posinous! Jap anemonies are a favorite too, they great thing about them is that you only need a tiny bit because you can divide them really easily and they grow quickly too, im afraid i wouldnt have been able to be as good as you
Thanks for the offer Dove, but just sent OH out to do the hunter gatherer thing (have done an online shop to be on the safe side!),
So Fairy, does that mean we do smell, or not????
Yvie, i dont think i live that far from you, it keeps going dark here too, but nothing happens!

Hi OL, glad you're ok, wondered where you were after working yesterday
What will power for not getting agapanthus!!!!
Right folks - have to pop up to the farm shop for meat, fruit, bread and milk, and then into the GC for bird food and hedgehog biccies
Can I pick anything up for anyone?
