Well done DD, can hardly wait to see the pics on the open days!

Not been too busy at work but filled the time with other stuff ( did admit to it and will deduct time from my pay ). Shattered now, partly due to germs swimming around my body.

Monday night , anyone remember my Monday tea treat? ... No cooking cos OH works late so i have cheese on toast not any more! Now step son lives here i suppose its only fair and right that he should have a proper meal ( will fish fingers do?). :-/

havent caught up with you guys sorry, but have seen DD's good news, well done, you must be so proud after putting so much hard work in!image

Mrs G, fish fingers constitue a gormet meal in this house, especially if i manage to heat them all the way through!image

so , i have spent a week trying to dig out a tree with large roots, with a trowel as there are too many roots to get a spade in, ive hit a layer of rock hard gravel today...you know that feeling when you wish you had never started something!image

  • Evening all! Thought i'd say hi, since I've never written in this topic before! And Bekkie H, you've got me fancying fish finger sandwiches. Yum!!!

I'm currently in work at the library and coming home to a stressful evening of scanning model sheets and turnarounds for tomorrow's rushes, so no sleep for me for a while! Also celebrating since my student loan finally came through (7 months of arguing finally paid off) and can afford to buy some seed pots and some compost, and nurse my poor injured rosemary and lavender plants back to health.

I'm a terrible student, spending what should be beer money on plants and compost, haha!

    How is everyone tonight?

  • Hi BitterKnitter,

Liking your student attitude, far better to invest in a rosemary & a lavender. My OH has just gone to UK for a week and given me housekeeping money, going to live off leftovers all week and treat myself to some plants. Prefer imaginative dinners anyway! image

    Bekki, feel for you.

Lilly would love nothing more than to have you all here for a week, imagine how much gardening we could get through (and cake). image

I was hoping we could meet, Dove. Didn't I wonder about a TWIGS garden visit? ...

So you did - don't say my memory's starting to go image  HEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!

I've got a treat tomorrow folks .... some of you may remember a foodie friend of mine from Cornwall joined us when we went on the Snowdrop Walk at Anglesea Abbey - anyway, she's ventured up country and out of Cornwall again, and she and I are meeting for lunch at Cambridge Uni Bot. Gardens image  I wonder if there'll be any autumn colour left - I think that some of the trees could still be looking good image

  • Haha! Dordogne D, Fidget and Dove, I'm a student at Southampton Solent and studying animation. I'm in final year and making my final film- it's a scary prospect, definitely! I love Soton, been here since first year and my OH joined me last year and became a lecturer in the same uni. It's so nice to meet you all!

And hi to you too Kef! image
