Dove for the first time I've seen robins feeding from my hanging fat ball feeders. We've also had a blackbird that's been doing the same. Only ever seen them ground feeding or on bird tables before.
Sure I'm going to get baby robins this year. A pair have been spending so much time in the garden.
Only just surfaced . Will be spending the afternoon in the GH, pricking out some of my seedlings. One of my favourite jobs when the rain is pattering down outside. Then cinema tonight - girls want to see the new Cinderella. See you all later (probably MUCH later).
You must have needed that Chicky, you work such long hrs
Yvie, we're turning into bookends if you know what I mean
Well done Frit, you are becoming a valuable asset at your new job!
PDoc, you better share when they arrive, I simply must know
Back from GC myself with another Nandina Domestica (planting spot already decided) they are just such a worthwhile shrub with super foliage in spring, subtle flowers in summer and gorgeous berries through winter!
Also bought Clematis Markham's Pink (was on my short list when I had to choose 5 from Taylors Clematis)
Blowing an absolute gale here. Did have to bravely venture outside and across to GH as needed some pots, rushed back to safety though.
Cat has just streaked across garden, she doesn't like wind either!
I have pricked out a couple of lots of seedlings, next is to sow sunflowers but have to make a decision - sow sunflowers or make cake
Love North Norflok, it was on our list as the place to retire to until my Mother refused to go so far away from family, so we ended up in Worcestershire - love it here, but no sea to walk by
Watched Montalbano last night, nothing else much on as you all said!!
Love the idea of rhubarb crumble and clotted cream - thanks Dove
Use Crocus a lot as well, only one duff one which was replaced without argement
BM Panda hit the nail on the head re AGM. It's kinda frowned upon if you don't go but there are prizes this year. I'm in the running for " shiniest shoes" lol.
It's raining so hard on our big west-facing window that for a moment I thought we were at the Sea Life Aquarium on Gt Yarmouth sea front - I wouldn't have been surprised to see a leatherback turtle and some angel fish swim past!!!
I've found a Randolph Scott western to watch - some appalling acting but wonderful scenery.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Miserable weather here too
Beaus - AGM is an Annual General Meeting, where lots of dull stuff is discussed
I wish this weather would improve I really want to get out in the garden but it's vile out there at the moment really rainy and blowing a gale.
