Clari, shocked here and disgusted too of their treatment of you Nothing surprises me when it comes to the way that companies treat their employees unfortunately
Oh clari im so sorry how rotten for you.... Well it's as black as night here atm looks like we are in for a downpour..... I'm lingering waiting for HC review from chicky lol while I'm waiting I could answer the rafts of pm messages I have got about chillies!!!!
Aw Clari - you have had really abominable treatment. I'm sure you would rather be told up front rather than in this sneaky way. Just goes to show what kind of people they are and I bet you can't wait to see the back of them. I am so angry on your behalf
Chin up though - better things are in front of you. Hugs
Clari, how long have you worked there? are they doing last in first out?
If you have been there less than a year, then I would go for sexual discrimination. Three men kept on, one female not. .. unless you were last in... in which case they are just cowards for not doing it the proper way.
Me thinks Clari is probably the only draughtwoman employed knowing what machinery she has spoken about. Plus if she has been as open at work as she has been on the forum about her injuries ( if she wasn't already working there ) I think I'd go into office tomorrow ask to see management for a chat. She is entitled to support ( another employee not friend) ask if she is the one going. If yes ask why. Then ask if she has been selected because of gender and history, rather than work standard.
I've just washed my home grown salad for tea.
Might see you all later if I haven't exploded. !! No footie forecast from me tonight
Clari, There is no way they are following redundancy guidelines, if there are only 3 jobs but 4 of you are currently doing the same job then I'm pretty sure they have to go through a process of interviewing you all for the jobs that are currently available. Sorry if that sounds as clear as mud. Anyway, I would definitely seek advice, if you do go, go down fighting and take them for all you can. It will at least tide you over until you get something else.
Clari - Yviestevie is right - when several social work teams were facing redundancies here a few years ago, County Hall first asked for anyone who wanted voluntary redundancy or early retirement - after than we all had to be interviewed for the jobs that were available. As four teams were being amalgamated into 3, and there was only one FSW post (my job) in each team, four of us were interviewed for the 3 posts.

I agree with what everyone has said and am also very angry, as I think we all are. I really feel for you Clari xx

I'm sure that's how it should be done.
You've probably looked at this, but just in case https://www.gov.uk/staff-redundant/overview
