Morning all. Not at work today - was suddenly struck with a horrible tummy bug yesterday and spent the rest of the day running back and forth....you know where image

No idea where that came from. Feel a bit better but I'll have to content myself with sitting here and resting. Well, someone has to do it. image

The poppy pix are beautiful lily. They'll be dismantled after Remembrance Day as you said. You can buy them - can't remember the website name but if you just google Tower poppies or similar it'll come up. Not sure how many will be left - I bought one after it was discussed it on Jeremy Vine's show on R2 a while ago. There's a little video on the site showing them being made. There's one for every life lost and they should all be in place by 11th November. Incredibly moving.

Off for a little catch up as I've not really been around since yesterday morning...image

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Fg, glad you're feeling a bit better - I suggest we both have a quiet day on the sofa with a book or some rubbish telly image

  • Poppies cost £25 +£5pp. They will start taking them out, cleaning and wrapping for posting and arriving Jan/Feb time. They were amazing to see Fairy and really moving at the amount there, as you say one for every life lost.

I've got Chris Evans on the radio and a cup of tea Dove. I watched some rubbish telly yesterday - albeit intermittently - but I've got a couple of Robert Redford films recorded which will get better attention today so I'll be fine image

We've got dry weather here which is a bit frustrating since I can't get out and get on, but on the plus side, I'm far too ill to do any h****work so....every cloud image

Sorry you're not well Fairy but this is your chance to give your aching muscles a restimage

You're quite right Verdunimage  I have both types of plants flowering in other parts of the bed but hadn't realised that this was a drier area. Our soil is usually permanently saturated.

Flaming dog went and rolled in something disgusting this morning so I've just had to give her a bathimage

Hope everyone has a good day, especially the saltminersimage

Fg image I'd planned to clean the bathroom today, and then I discovered that OH had done it yesterday! image  So other than sort that pile of paperwork (and I don't think that'll get done today) there's not a lot to do - I might bake a cake - and prepare something Middle Eastern ish with some lamb cutlets and aubergines ...... otherwise a film sounds good.

    I could make a C*mas Shopping list ........ image

Hugs Fairy as Dove says feet up and rest.

Verdun hope other stuff gets sorted.

Now raining here, if I wasn't hungry I'd go back to bed and hibernate until spring image

  • Fairy snuggle on the sofa with Robert Redford, you deserve a lazy day. Hope you feel better soon.

Dove hope your wrist completely healed, take care.
