Sounds as though most people got a better day than us. I didn't realise how windy it had got until I looked out of the window and the lupins have gone missing. They were just about over but I will try deadheading and hope not too many stems are broken and I'll get the second flush.

I have spent nearly all day making a cake (yes - all day). It's for my Dad's 90th birthday and it's a whopper We are taking it down to Cheshire at the weekend. Don't tell Verdun.
