I cleared a load of couch grass from a patch of clay. then I dumped 5 trug bucketfuls of FYm on it and forked it in. I know the couch will come back, but at least it should be easier to fork next time. OH is going to trim the hawthorn at the back of the border, then I will plant the Bishops children dahlias there for this season to see what I've got. A lovely magenta purple one has opened. Cant plant until he's trimmed, otherwise his size 12 boots will stomp all over it. He's not very balletic in the borders.
Lesley - trust me it works! I would never suggest something I'm not prepared to first trial on myself! (I actually have bruises on my knees from the bouncy castle now - HOW CAN YOU BRUISE ON A BOUNCY CASTLE??)
I'm hoping he will trim tonight and I can plant after, but at the moment he's sorting out someones messed up 3D scan of a balcony rail.Emergency job, they want it yesterday. It appears that the man that scanned it doesn't know how to open the software. If you spend £100 k on laser scanners and £50k on the software, why do the accountants think they are saving money by cutting out the £3k training course?
Oh dear (One would have hoped if you spent £150k on equipment and software that the person buying would have been switched on enough to haggle free training!)
Pinched Doves idea, took the dog for a picnic to the local nature reserve which has a canal running through it, yes, the dog did go in! We must have walked 10 miles easily! Absolutely gorgeous tho, birds, butterflys, baby ducks. Am now eating home grown rasps, strawbs and blueberries with far too much extra thick double cream....its a hard life, but someone has to do it!
Not sure after 10 miles any of us want to go near your feet Bekkie!
But that does make me wonder that if I am made redundant on Friday if the local animal sanctuary will let me foster a dog until I find somewhere else to work so that I can make the most of the weather between posting out my CV and explore the beautiful area! I really miss all the walking I used to do with the neighbours dog every evening. I bet the dog does too - it used to meet me at the bottom of the drive with its lead! Trouble with working is that its just not fair of us to have a dog inside all day
(Not that fostering a dog for a few weeks is possibly fair on them but it can't be nice them being in the kennels all the time).
Clarington, some don't need training, they are just upgrades or replacements for older versions. They all come as pick n mix, but its always the accountants that draw the line at the training. They dont understand that its not what the training costs, its what the lack of training costs.
It would be a really lovely thing to foster a dog , it seems like you have a sneaky hope to be made redundant, its horrid when you are unhappy at work x
My dog was fine with being indoors all day, but i did get a very lazy dog, some days he dosent even surface til after noon!
