It will be lovely next week Rosemummy. We just needed some rain to make it more beautiful for your hols.

I planted some leeks out  that I'd grown from seed in the raised bed this afternoon and in spite of a morning of heavy rain the ground was still  so dry.

Home from work and another busy day. Not had time to catch up here recently (too busy watching the tennis yesterday image) but hope doc has made it to Glasto and everyone is surviving the weather/work/slugs/mothers-in-law/injuries - delete as appropriate. Think that covers everyone! image

OL- I have two oak leaf hydrangeas which I bought last year so if you want cuttings of them I can do some for you. The flowers are white, late summer, with lovely leaf colour in autumn.

Have to go soon and deliver a child somewhere and get some bread. image

At least it's dry so I might get something done when I come back.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I've been having a bit of a tidy - stacking of empty pots in the nearest thing I've got to a 'hidden corner'.  I think I've got more empty pots than the Recycled Pot Crate at Notcutts up the road - but if I get rid of any I'll need some image

Dove - I have a dustbin full but I daren't throw even the broken ones away. They'll come in useful for something I'm sure!

Lesley - I've often thought that a cup of tea and jam sandwich would be ideal after labour. I hope Fairy remembers the milk.

'Bonnie' - OL- you have to  get the correct spelling you know....image although some parts are distinctly 'un' bonnie image

I'll check how to do them and get some organised for you. They make big shrubs - mine have grown a fair bit already, although they were biggish to start off with.

I need milk as well as bread  Clari - I always need milk - I drink so much tea image

OL happy anniversary not sure if today or tomoz'. imageimage

Had to do emergency dash to Argos because Mum's bedside radio/alarm had broken, and she couldn't live without it image

Pigs been out and now back in.

I've spent rest of my time hoeing and breaking up soil, and then watering so if we get some rain it doesn't just run off. Like Fidget I have cracks opening in beds.

Verdun I will have peas by the weekend, sampled a couple of pods imagenot quite up to size.

Off now to taught DavidK on his hugs thread image

Dove you'd be amazed at plant pot tetras going on in that pot! I can never "just" get one pot out its a right challenge (and the lid doesn't exactly go on).
