It's only on the front lawn and it's a recent occurrence - I think it may be NDN's young tabby male - the one whose life OH saved when he was newly moved in next door and he stole and choked on a chicken bone - NDN rushed around here distraught and thrust strange squirming cat at us. OH wrapped him tightly in a towel and stuck his fingers down the throat and hooked out a big bone.
There's gratitude for you
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Getting up later by the day, think every muscle is aching from this gardening lark - had to lie in bed and de-kink every limb for 10 minutes before getting up. I am definitely blaming gardening and NOT old age.
Talking of garden shoes and the like - I had been suffering from really itchy feet lately after gardening. I invested in some 'proper' gardening shoes, started wearing socks and applied lots of cream daily and it started to ease. Then - like you do, one day last week in flip flops I just got carried away doing a bit of deadheading and weeding enroute to hanging out the washing - and the itchy feet came back - any ideas anyone?
Back to it now, think this bed will keep me going all weekend, but I have got a trailer load of manure coming for it on Saturday so need to crack on. I will be thinking of all you day trippers when I am up to my knees in it on Sunday!
Have a good day all.
