Edd, glad you are ok. Its not us you need to be saying this stuff to, I, and i imagine everyone else on here is happy to talk with you all day if you need it, but you need to say all this to her, sometimes women argue and push at you to get an emotional response. Its admirable you want to protect your little one, but you cant do much up a mountain!
Glad you are ok Verdun .115 years eh? You shouldnt lie about your age
Edd, i hope you're Ok, you sound so sad. Best wishes and hugs. Maybe you could go home....and talk to each other. Mrs Edd is probably feeling the same and your little boy will be missing you. x
Evening all & what exciting times most of you have had today. I got very excited as loaded my Sarah Raven basket up only to be told at checkout items couldn't be shipped to France, only seeds, bulbs are only big seeds aren't they really.
Hectic day as usual on Weds, early finish for Charlie & judo run, throw in Garden Club Meeting and French guest arriving, all got a bit silly.
Poor French lady got lost, had to guide her in over the phone, OH very gallantly went off up the lane with head torch on searching for her, probably frightened her to death. And then, as I showed her up to her room she asked what was for dinner - eek, panic, dinner?? She hadn't booked dinner Luckily she was was quite happy with bread, cheese, garlic sausage & a large glass of red - phew!
Unfortunately missed comic relief Bake Off, hope to get it on I-player tomorrow.
Fortunately, also missed running club, will make it up tomorrow, honest.
Verdun, glad you are OK & managed to sort Doc out too.
Punkdoc, lovely pics, very cheerful, sure our gardens will look like that soon enough, well maybe.
Edd, very best wishes to you and yours, take care, hope your partner & son 'get' where you are & why & hope all turns out for the best.
Right off to bed, ready for a more relaxed day tomorrow, only an English lesson on superlatives to plan & deliver, will be my best lesson ever, or at least better than last week, probably the greatest ever!

Verdun, do you use sunscreen? Might be a good time to start, its not wussy, sports men do it, you are probably out doors more than cricketers and the like, we dont want you poorly
Can certainly agree with you Edd, on the Munros in winter. When slightly? younger I managed the odd one or two. Their beauty when snow covered in unsurpassable.
Hope you get stuff sorted. It is easy to say, but stubbornness has never caused me anything but heartache.
Talking of Munros where is Fairy?
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Edd, you have brought back to me memories of climbing Ben More and Stob Binnien in Winter many years ago, not far from you. We climbed up through miserable December rain up into the clouds all the while wondering why on earth we were doing this on such a foul day. Then we broke through the cloud just as we hit the snow line at about 3,000ft and ran the rest of the way up to the summit. It was a transcendent moment seeing a world consisting of nothing but cloud and snow covered Munroes. Be safe.

DD, sounds as though the running club is one thing too many.
Dove, I could have offered Gary a bed, but he's going by Brive, an hour away in a car. I'm nearer Périgueux.
