  • GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK MONTY.

ITS BACK TO REAL GARDENING AGAIN.

    WE LOVE YOUR GARDEN.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU EACH WEEK.

    Alan & Rosemary Bilsby
  • I stopped watching Gardener's World after a couple of episodes of being patronised by Toby and bored by them trying to fill an hour of TV with silly projects. It wasn't a classic GW last night but it was from a real garden and we have had a harsh winter. At least we were in the company of a calm, intelligent presenter. Oh, welcome back Monty, I missed you - any chance of you returning to write the gardening column in The Observer??
  • I stopped watching GW when Monty was presenting the programme last time as I find it uninformative, snobby and boring. By chance, I tuned in one evening last year and discovered that it had ben transformed with Toby, Alys, Joe and Carol. It was educational and enjoyable - a programme for ordinary people trying to gain knowledge and get the best from their gardening.

I missed yesterday's programme, but from the comments posted it is as I feared and I shall not be bothering to watch in future.

Perhaps ITV might have a plan for a gardening programme and could employ Alys and Toby to provide us with what we are now missing?
  • I just don't understand why Alys Fowler was dropped from the show. I really do not understand. What was Gardeners' World thinking of?"
  • Big mistake BBC. Monty is good, but no replacement for Allan.Toby was a natual successer to Allan. I hope other networks see the oppotunity for TOBY BUCKLAND Presenting GARDENING WORLD.
  • Really pleased to see Monty Dons back. And what a fantastic garden he has created
  • I have always liked Monty, but am really sad to see Toby and Alys go. I'd certainly watch any gardening programme Toby did, so hope to see him again soon on the TV.
  • O my God This was like watching Top Gear without Jeremy Clarckson, and the Hampster
  • What a pleasure to see Monty's garden - looking forward to watching it come to life over the coming months. Good to see the old team back at the helm.
  • I have been an avid viewer of Gardeners World for years.
I am really disapointed with the new show and will not be tuning in again.
Monty has had his day and should not have come back.
    Bring back Toby and Alys.
