So glad to hear 'The Don' is back, its a shame Alys won't be working for Monty again though, she was pretty current with flower trends and new veggies.I can't understand all the kick off about getting rid of Toby, Maybe the Beeb had seen viewer numbers drop over the two seasons that Toby presented? I'd stopped watching the show because I just couldn't put up with not learning anything. Well done Monty ! Glad to see you back!
What an arrogant stupid man Monty is. I have just read the magazine article and can not believe that the BBC could allow such rampant tosh to be printed. I rang the paper shop and cancelled it. Why are we paying for HIS garden to be done up? The BBC own Greenacres and should have carried on with it. Obviously they are getting too much licence fee money if they can splash out on revamping his garden. It is frankly disgusting and you have lost another viewer as I object to the appalling waste of money. Toby is the better man all round.
So glad Monty's coming back, best news this year. Really looking forward to Friday nights.I had lost Interest In the program because of the new fornat and the style of presenting.Three cheers for Monty
Welcome back Monty!! and good to see Carol Klein will be on as well! Telly just hasn't been the same without Monty on it I'm even more excited about spring and summer now.
So looking forward to March and Monty's return to GW. His enthusiasm is inspirational and infectious! Apparently, he's managed to get his garden "done up" for free. Well, I say, good for him. Who wouldn't take that opportunity, if offered.
Why oh Why dont the lady gardeners wear sensible clothes on the BBC How can you garden with a woolly jumper pulled down into your palms and the younger women its not a fashion show surely some tough trousers and boots Monty don always looks ready for proper work!
Ah so what's the difference Jinty between Monty then and Alan Titchmarsh, the sainted Geoff Hamilton and even way back to Percy Thrower? Are you saying that we didn't actually pay for their gardens to look good for TV? Do you think for one minute if Toby's garden had been suitable he wouldn't have jumped at the opportunity? Keep your opinions to yourself as regards my morals!!!
Welcome back, Monty. So looking forward to seeing your lovely garden. Have read about it many times and now we are actually going to see it. I can't wait.
