So glad to hear that Monty's back! After reading his books it will be fascinating to see his garden for real. He is so enthusiastic and never talks down to audience.
I hope gardeners world will not go back to basics quite so much as in the past as there is a very loyal following out there, some who are very experienced gardeners.
I'll be sad to see Toby and Alice go but Rachel is great and is more than 'eye candy' as some comments suggest!
Am not impressed either with the return of Monty Don - Toby is a fine presenter and obviously a knoweledgeable gardener - why change a format that works ?
Very sorry to hear Toby Buckland is leaving GW.I think he did a good job and probably was told by producers how and what to do in the show. Not keen on Monty Don at all and will have to see if I watch again.
I am really pleased to see Monty back not really watched GW since he left did not take to the new show. I dont agree that it is all veg, veg we all have differnet needs when it comes to looking for idea's I cant wait for the new show to start, I will say that I always liked Alys input.
thank goodness, Alys was getting a bit 1940's strange and Toby was a bit dull. The best part of the programme was 2 years ago when Joe did his allotment bit, meeting the other allotment holders and finding little quirks was brilliant, but they dropped that last year. I started sky+ and fast forward the Toby and Alys bits. Sorry guys, but you had your chance and you blew it (and the budget for Greenacres)I like a presenter that doesn't talk to me like I'm 12 too!!!

Toby was ok, to be fair, so he deserves another show to do his thing.
Ditching Alys is a mistake though - I'd rather watch her than Rachel any day.
