Loads chick! It's much more purple than it looks on the pix. I bought it in the bargain corner at GC during early summer and it's in a large pot at the moment. It's grown like mad and flowered really well so I'd say it's a good one to buy.

Saw it at Chelsea and could not believe the size of the flowers - drop dead gorgeous!

Yes - big flowers- about 4" across. It's going into the new raised beds I'm making so hopefully it'll be even bigger better next year!

I think I've fallen in love with Daniel Deronda - he might have to come to live in our front garden (when I've dug the new border).

I think I'm soon going to have to make my serious list .... maybe today is the day to start ....

It's a nice colour Dove. A good purple. I got it for £4 in the bargain corner of the GC with Etoile Violette in late spring /early summer. Strong grower. It associated well with the Cupani sweet peas I had in front of it so you'll have to give them another go too!   Just noticed this morning that the 2nd crop of buds on EV are starting to open.

I had this one http://www.taylorsclematis.co.uk/clematis-purpurea_plena-elegans.html in a previous garden - fablous for autumn colour - I'll have to find room for this one too.
