One above is "Little Pink Beauty", but it isn't nearly as pink as the one I had years ago in England, although I bought it in England. I bought the next ones here in France.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Lovely pictures everyone - still so many flowers out there! Love your echinaceas Matt - and wouldn't have noticed the duvet cover unless you'd mentioned it KEF - was too busy looking atl the pink flowers ( what are they?)
Love your asters Lizzie. And FG - it's planting time - enjoy
Lovely FG ! Daniel Deronda is on my shopping list - didn't know it had lovely seedheads too. Are there still flowers on it ( sneaking into the edge of the photo)??

Horse chestnuts look terrific in the autumn gina.
Have you got a lot of wind? I'll rephrase that...
Are the Acers a bit exposed? Sun's still strong at this time of year too so it might be a combination of those.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I had the same problem with my little Acer. I blame the sun and wind.
I visited some peoples gardens in Cardiff earlier this year and all the Acers I saw were planted in Deep Shaded and Crowded woodland areas.
My Michaelmas daisies are out.
