Exactly the point I made fifteen minutes ago on the 'Forum closing' thread, LunarSea.

So you did. Sorry - missed that. Glad I'm not the only one thinking this.

I found that I had joined GC quite a while ago, so messaged the admin to change my username and they are very helpful. I'm Eustace there too.

I know to many people this is a simple thing, but to me it's like building the Hadron collider.

Me too @AnniD. The 2013 style is much easier on the eye.

GCs format does seem a bit dated, but don't forget how many people screamed, myself included, when the GW forum changed.

I sense a little bit of friction already on GC.

@LeadFarmer very kindly set up a thread where old GW-ers could catch up with each other and share old GW stuff. Unfortunately one of their prominent members then replied with "This is not GW, its GC".

I think we need to be mindful of what our mass influx might feel like for their regular contributors. Just sayin'
Thanks LunaSea, and you are correct, for them to suddenly have potentially hundreds of new members could initially appear daunting to their members.

Here's a link to the thread I started over on Gardeners Corner..

To be fair to that person, I had mentioned about using my thread as an area for GW members to find other GW members and to help them continue any threads that they were involved with over here. However I think that person thought we would be keeping information secret from GC, whereas I predict once members have found each other they will create new threads over there to continue discussions.

I've just managed to do that myself :)
