@Simone_in_Wiltshire I use a notebook/pc with windows 10 and Edge browser and a simple CTRL key held down and mouse scroll up increases the entire screen size including the text. I suspect that a lot of us here are getting to the age whereby accessibility issues will need addressing so I'm keen to look at all solutions now :). I never use it (yet) but Edge also has the facility to highlight a block of text>>right click>> select "read aloud". My attention span for listening is not too good for that to be much use and my eyes are okay for now, but others may find it useful. The software (s/w) on GC is a bit old (looks like current design was 2015), but I don't think it is to blame for your problem? To be honest the previous 2013 forum design looks better to me (accessible by clicking here

Hi @diggersjo I use Linux and Vivaldi. The problem however is the i series by Apple. The browsers have no “make fonts bigger” 🤨
I tried the 2013 design, too. My eyes need to get used to the background image too. I will find out how to disable that.

    I my garden.

The thought has crossed my mind FireFire. 😟 They were not prepared for the onslaught.

Me too, but I’m hoping it will all settle down after this flurry of activity.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

Not an Apple person (except to eat), but looking at Vivaldi it looks very good. Not too sure why the text would be small, but note here on their website that they have a separate setting for web text size. It does not say this can be set at tab, website or only browser level? I know it would be a pain, but have you tried any other browser? I tend to get hacked off with one or the other and float between FF, Google and Edge (MS have improved no end by the way). Don't get me wrong anyone, I think Apple are very good at what they do, it's just an IT thing. I don't do forums on the go and can see if you do and it's on say an iphone you need all to be okay. The font size setting may work across all devices and at website level?

Me too, although amancalledgeorge has just told me on the ' Forum closing' thread to 'chill out' and accused me of being 'superior', so mind your p's and q's or he'll be having a dig at you, too!  🤣🤣🤣

Currently away in Antarctica where internet speed is about what you'd expect at the end of the world, so not been able to do much online stuff at all. Cr*p timing for GW forum to close down!
Occasionally the satellites align and things speed up and have managed to sign up for GC as Topbird - look forward to seeing everyone there.

Unable to browse either this or that forum properly but does anybody know if @Marlorena is moving across and (if so) what her user name will be? Or if she posts on other forums? Her profile is private so I can't send a PM. I have found her threads to be a hugely useful mine of info with loads of excellent photos and info about so many different roses. I also love her postings about companion plantings.

    Hopefully she'll see this.

Such a shame to be losing this huge resource.
