    Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

    I've moved over to GC and kept the same name Astro. I'm more of a hoverer on this forum than many others, but it's been a very useful forum and there are some really good people on here. 

    I realise many have made strong bonds on the site and potentially rely on it for socialising.I'm pleased the community can move on together.

    Look on the bright side @Papi Jo - it could have been Leylandii   :D

    Laurel makes an excellent hedge or windbreak. It's no different from any other plant - it suits many plots, but won't suit others  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
